“Our first Beaujolais takes us to Morgon. A wine from old vines that has a lot of power.
On the nose the wine is marked by notes of red and black fruits like blackcurrant, spices and even slight earthy notes.
In the mouth it has a lot of power for a gamay, the tannins are silky with notes of cherry.
It is a wine to decant at least 1 hour and which is even better the next day. This shows that the gamay can have a significant aging potential on this appellation. A very interesting power. It is really a wine to discover to understand this grape variety and this region.
It is the first time in my life that I have opened a 3-year-old Beaujolais and I tell myself that it would have been necessary to wait a year or two, all is said."
